Connecting Odoo

Off until an owner turns it on in Settings, Features. It is on every plan.

You need four things: the address you open Odoo at, the database name, your Odoo login email, and an API key. To make the key in Odoo: click your name at the top right, open My Preferences (or My Profile), go to the Account Security tab, click New API Key, confirm your password, give it a name such as Allodial and the longest duration offered, and copy the key. Odoo shows it only once, and a key lasts at most three months, so you will paste a new one when it expires.

We read posted customer invoices and credit notes from the last 24 months, their accounts (an invoice to a contact counts for the company above it), products and their categories, salespeople, and warehouses from sales orders. Revenue is Odoo's untaxed amount in your company currency, the same number Odoo's own Invoicing analysis shows. We never write to Odoo.

After the first full read we check for changes once a day. An invoice cancelled or reset to draft in Odoo stops counting on the next check. Disconnecting deletes the stored key and stops the checks; what was already read stays unless you choose to delete it.

Odoo Online allows outside apps to read data only on some plans. If yours does not, export your invoices from Odoo (Invoicing, Customers, Invoices, select them, Export) and load the file on Imports instead; the Odoo export is recognised as it is.
